North City Diesel was established 20 odd years ago, originally operating from Broken Hill Road before moving to our modern Kapuni Grove workshop. Our facility offers secure off-street parking for large vehicles, and we’re proud to run a clean, well-organised workshop. As long-standing members of the Motor Trade Association (MTA), we uphold the highest industry standards in everything we do.
Many of our customers are leaders in the logistics, transport, and freight industries, trusting us to keep their vehicles on the road. While our core services include repairs and servicing, we also supply quality batteries and related accessories. In addition, we work with a trusted network of specialists in tyres, transmissions, hydraulics, and electronics to ensure your fleet is fully supported.

The business is owned and operated by Ian Taylor, who brings over 50 years of experience as both a motor mechanic and businessman. While now semi-retired, Ian remains actively involved in the workshop, maintaining his straightforward, ‘no-nonsense’ approach.
Ian has used his experience to build a highly skilled and reliable team to support your fleet. Leading the workshop is Dave McCrindle, who ensures the team stays up to date with the latest technology and repair practices. Under his leadership, our staff of seven trained and qualified mechanics deliver efficient, dependable service tailored to the needs of commercial fleets.
North City Diesel also operates an on site emergency call out service where we come to you anytime, the vehicles are equipped with the latest gear required to get your vehicle mobile.
